Jack and Grady are casual extras in the adult movies made by 'WrinkleTheSheets' productions. They're devoted to each other - until Jack starts to have doubts about his ability to satisfy Grady's high sex drive.
While filming the outrageously sexy movies the public demands, the other actors are happy to give their dubious advice to Jack.
Why is Grady keeping secrets? Just what are the strange noises, coming from their shared trailer? And does Jack really want to find out?
"I don't know what to do," said Jack, very loudly this time.
They all spun around and stared at him, like they'd just remembered he was there.
"It'll be all right, Jack," said Gerry. "You're not the only one in the relationship, you know."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Jack thought his brow might be permanently furrowed with all the frowning.
Gerry sighed. "If you're wondering what Grady's up to, why don't you just ask him?"
Then they all turned away from the trailer and started ambling back on set. Jack watched them go for a moment. Quinn yanked down the edge of his camo pants, part of the frayed seam had got caught between his buttocks. Luca shifted his headpiece and yelped when the edge of it scraped his ear. And he could hear Gerry muttering something like "Can't get the staff."
Jack sighed deeply, and his gaze returned to the closed door of his trailer. He was glad to see the back of them, really, friends though they were. He needed some time alone, to think things out.
He was upset. He was embarrassed. More than that, he was a bit scared.
What was Grady really up to in the trailer? Without him?
Why was he so nervous of interrupting him?
He was worried Grady wasn't happy with him; wasn't satisfied. Actually, Jack worried about that all the time, even without Grady sneaking off on his own, and the weird grunting noises coming from the trailer. They'd been together for a long time now, almost a year. That was a lifetime for Jack, who'd never thought someone like Grady would come along, let alone find him, Jack, worth dating. But perhaps Grady was bored of their sex life by now. Perhaps he'd found something – or someone – else to excite him.
Jack didn't like to ask him outright, like Gerry had suggested.
Dammit, he didn't want to know the answer, did he?
