Chaz was always alone on Christmas, by choice. He didn’t want just any girl. He wanted someone special. Everyone knew the first snow of the year was special, but this year Chaz would see just how very special it was.
“I’m not made of snow, silly. I just ride on it to appear in your world.” Angel grinned walking toward the open door. “Snow is the gentlest way to travel through the realms.”
“The what?” Chaz asked, following the beauty into his home. Angel fingered the magazines on the table and the books on the shelves. “It is warm in here.”
“Should I turn the heat down?” Chaz rushed to do so.
“No, I’m fine. I meant you keep a happy atmosphere in here. I can feel the love inside. It’s wonderful.” A tear sparkled in her eyes.
Chaz moved closer and wiped her face. “Please don’t cry.”
Angel kissed the palm of his hand. “I know what you long for the most. I can give it to you.”
Chaz shook his head. Angel grabbed his wrist and put his hand on her beating heart. “I am real.”
Chaz fingered the loose tendrils of her slivery mane. It was then he saw he pointy ears. “What are you?”
